Daddy is so proud

Look at his little man flying his very on remote control helicopter....

Joe is so proud..

Not sure if Joe is so proud of this but while I gotcha -- I thought I would tell you a funny story about the clothes Carter is wearing. Tonight when it was time for PJs, we told him he could wear the "lightning queen" jammies (again) that Andy gave him, and as if that wasn't exciting enough-- he got to wear his Mr. Incredibles character socks.

After he put on his jammies, I said and look at the socks you get to wear--and then he said "that's what me talking bout", with the same inflection as an adult saying "that's what I'm talking about"...not sure where he got it but it was darn funny...

No longer a stranger to the Peanut Butter

Today, (for the first time in 3.5 years) Carter had Peanut Butter-- and this is him saying "YAY, I like Peanut Butter"

We had Carter tested at a fairly young age for allergies and the PB allergy kept showing up. His doctors told us we could try to give it to him after he was 3 but we just haven't. They told us to put it on his skin first and if there was no reaction he could try it. So we tested him on his skin this morning and no reaction-- and the only reaction we got when he tried his first bite was--"UMMM I like that". This is such an exciting thing for us- we have been so worried about him having this allergy considering how dangerous it can be --
We celebrated with Chocolate Fondue tonight-- which we've had several times lately--the only difference this time--we got to add Peanut butter to the mix....

You can tell from his mouth above that he definitely got his fair share of celebrating---

Oh and sis was excited too-- she named all the great things he can have now with her-- Here is her YAY for Carter....

Mom's got mad skills

While I was home for Christmas mom made me a wreath that I can keep on my door throughout the winter. It is so pretty, and who knew mom was so crafty-- I will have to remember this and the winter wreath may just turn into a spring, summer and fall wreath with a couple of modifications.

I think wreaths on your door say-- welcome to my house--wouldn't you feel welcomed by this? :) Thanks mom for my lovely wreath.

Birthday Wishes

Happy Birthday to you. Happy Birthday to you. Happy Birthday dear Ashley (now you're as old as meeee). Happy Birthday to you!

I hope you like the cake. I stayed up most the night working on it. When I had questions, I called up this guy for advice....

I would have just had Duff make the cake for you but ever since his Food Network show came out his rates have gotten a little out of hand. His phone consultation was pricey enough, be sure to be on the lookout for that bill. I didn't have my info handy so I just rattled off your name and address...hope that's ok?

Anyway, happy birthday hippy chick. 33 is a good age. That's what I hear anyway...I'm still claiming 29.
